PITHARA GETS A NEW WINNER A new paint scheme and a mountain of enthusiasm has seen Kris Coyle come away from the Bradford memorial at Pithara Speedway with the winners trophy after a great battle with fellow young gun Jason Kendrick. Coyle drove a very calculated race in the smaller than expected field in the 20 lap A main event after passing Kendrick two thirds into the race.
“I saw Jason hit the cushion and the car jumped sideways and that
gave me enough to slip past and then we just kept the lead from
there. It was great to get a win in this race” Said a very happy
young Coyle. Second placed Kendrick who has a hectic schedule this season alongside Kerry Madsen in the 92.9 Kendrick team showed he has plenty of car speed when it counts but wasn’t able to keep Coyle at bay all race. Third placed Brad Maiolo had good speed all day and took the final podium spot. The track’s one man band Phil Waters who has put his heart and sole into the place to improve the tracks standard ran the show under lights for the first time. It was just a pity that for whatever reason it was not supported as well as what it should have been and there has already been a number of discussions on how to improve it for next season and what time of year to have it. “Yes it’s disappointing not to have a pits full of Sprintcars, we were expecting more cars but thanks to all the teams that made the trek up here and there will be some changes next season for sure” Said Waters. If the car speed at this country bull ring was anything to go by this group of hard charging young guns have certainly stepped up a notch this season and are very keen to make their own mark on the Sprintcar scene. The Coyle team have been buoyed by the generosity of long time supporter Remote Area Concrete who have increased their commitment and become a major part of the team. Roger at remote has been a long time supporter of Coyles and has always seen the potential of this young gun and has assisted the team to help make this season a memorable one. “Remote Area Concrete have been fantastic to us and it’s blown me away just how much Roger has assisted us it’s quite humbling actually” Said team owner Steve Coyle. The Trucks Plus Team would like to thank Remote Area Concrete, Hitachi, TMG Fabrication, McMahon Haulage, Trucks Plus, Treblex, Lubri maxx and SpeedSport Media for their continued support of the Team.
