Coyles Double Duty Grand Final Weekend 

Doing double duty on any night is a major task but when one of those nights includes the 360 State Title and the Sprintcar Gold Cup for 410’s it’s a much tougher ask. Kris Coyle and the Trucks Plus team never shy away from a challenge and they held their own until motor trouble ended the young gun Kris Coyle’s chance of a good result in the 360 Sprintcar State Title.

 “The car was running real good to start with and we jumped to the lead in the first heat and I thought we were on the money but we had a water leak and the car started to get hot so I pulled off pretty quick”.

 Upon returning to the pits and fixing the car things looked back on track only to find the engine had gone off song and it was better to park the car for the night.

 “It’s disappointing for everyone as always they put in a big effort, but I don’t want to damage the motor and we know what is wrong with it so it won’t be a big fix. This 360 has been an awesome engine and we want to keep it that way”.

 Coyle’s night in the 410 was faring much better in the greasy track conditions Coyle came away with a fourth and third in his respective heats that saw the quiet achiever start from fifth in the A main event.

 A matter of mere laps in and a shock had broken on the front end making the car a huge handful for Coyle to tame. He did a brilliant job to only slip one position eventually and come home sixth.

 “The car was heading to the wall every time I exited turn four and I tried to ease the throttle on as the front end would just lift up, I fought with a few guys but was unable to do anything else” Said an upbeat Coyle.

 Again Coyle has shown what the young drivers can do by finishing fourth in the AHG Series pointscore after all bonus points had been calculated, Coyle would have moved into third had it not been for one dropped round whilst he was over on the east coast and so was not awarded the bonus points for being at all rounds. 

It was a great season for us we had a few issues here and there but everyone has those but all in all we had another great year on a very limited budget”.
