A good points haul for Coyle 

It looked as though the Trucks plus team were in for a long night but a brilliant drive in the feature from the rear of the pack to a fast finishing fifth place put a smile on young gun Kris Coyle’s face at the end of the night.

Coyle was in the zone as he weaved through the pack making his way up to fifth before the flag fell. It was another mature drive from Coyle as he continues to claw his way back up the AHG ladder.

“The heats were a disaster I had a vibration from the rear end so I pulled out of heat one, then we put in a brand new diff for the second heat and broke a ring gear on that one so another DNF so to finish off with fifth was a pretty good recovery” Said Coyle.

Saturday nights A main had drivers running from the kerb to the wall and everything in between trying to get a quicker line and Coyle was no different running low early on then mid track and then moving up to the wall where the car really started moving forward.

“I tried the high line early but came back down  so later in the race I went up there and it felt great so I ran a few laps up against the wall then thought OK lets go and we started hauling in the cars fairly quickly” Coyle said.

With the team switching to the Maxim chassis two weeks ago it was all about getting laps in to fine tune things prior to the month of money but even though the team only did a handful of laps prior to the A main the crew had worked overtime to firstly get him out there and to give Coyle a great setup.

‘The whole team worked flat out from go to whoa tonight we are all wore out, so to have Kris run the way he did in the feature and pass some more fancied drivers made it all worth it” Said team owner Steve Coyle.

With a very busy schedule over the next month the team is ready for the WSS invasion and is looking forward to racing the best guys in Australia.

‘This is always a great time of year racing against the best in Australia and racing in some of the biggest races in Australia, I can’t wait to get out there and get into it” Said a very enthused Kris Coyle.
