4th in the State Title an awesome effort

A brilliant drive in the A main of the 2009 WA Sprintcar State Title has earned Kris Coyle a very strong fourth place for his efforts. Coyle was clearly the fastest car on the track in the second half of the race where he was reeling in the opposition until he ran out of laps.

I couldn’t believe our result, it’s hard to work out where you are in relation to the front runners and then when the flag came out and I was told I was fourth I was stoked” Said a very happy Coyle.

The young gun started from 10th position in the main event after his run in the Top Ten shootout, was cut short due to the car jumping out of gear.

It was disappointing to have that happen we really wanted to get a higher starting position, but that’s what we were dealt so we just made the best of it.

He certainly did make the best of it passing cars with ease in the latter half of the race and the car was a rocket ship. On the last lap Coyle flew past third placed Kerry Madsen lap only to have Madsen slide back past in the last 200 meters of the race.

Car owner and father Steve Coyle was very happy with how Kris and the whole team performed on the night and can see the Murphy concept car is starting to show some good potential.

“Kris did an awesome job out there it was scary at times the way he was coming off those turns and just hammering it into the next passing cars. Every time we passed a few the yellows would come on and we would have to go back then do it all again. I’m Very proud of the whole team’s effort tonight it was a great result” Said Steve Coyle.
